- Create and sustain 100% Excelling Schools by 2010 (currently 22 of 32 schools in the district are rated Excelling)

SUSD Foundation Kicks Off Awareness Building Efforts
Brad Casper, President and CEO of the Dial Corporation, hosted an inaugural SUSD Foundation awareness building reception at Dial’s corporate headquarters on May 31, 2006. The event brought together180 interested business and community leaders, elected officials, parents and educators to help build awareness for Foundation’s mission and objectives.
After socializing over drinks and appetizers, Brad Casper took the floor to explain the critical need to develop Arizona students’ skills and experiences to prepare them for future careers. Dr. John M. Baracy, Superintendent SUSD followed by Liz Harvey, Executive Director of the Foundation who explained the organization’s vision, mission, strategies and plans. While primarily an awareness building effort, the Foundation raised over $15,000 at this event.
