Our Foundation began a short time ago with the clear vision of making a difference in public school education. Our passion drives a "Quest for Excellence" in all that we do. Our mission is simple - bring awareness to the Scottsdale Unified School District’s significant financial needs and focus on fundraising to support programs that make the biggest difference in the educational experiences of our children.
While we are a relatively new organization, we are proud to have supported a number of teacher education programs, spelling bees, and summer programs. In addition, we have established the Quest for Excellence mini grant program, supported in part by the Helios Education Foundation. This program awards grants to SUSD teachers who are inspired to experiment with tools and techniques that go beyond conventional text book learning. We have awarded over $31,000 in mini-grants to 44 teachers in 16 different schools to broaden the learning opportunities of our children in 2008.
